| Early Detection is Vital
We
are committed to monitoring your pet's health at all times, not
just when he or she is experiencing symptoms of illness or injury.
Pets are enjoying longer and higher quality lives, thanks to veterinary
medicine research and our increased ability to recognize, diagnose,
and successfully treat illnesses. The KEY to early diagnosis
is the annual comprehensive examination during which our veterinarians
will note normal and abnormal findings and will recommend six month
follow-up tests and treatment when appropriate. Emphasis is
placed on protection against contagious diseases as well as blood
and urine laboratory tests, parasite control, nutritional counseling,
preventive dentistry and behavioral counseling. We advocate neutering your pet for prevention of pregnancies, genital infections,
cancer and behavioral problems.
Quick
Diagnosis Leads to Longer Life of Your Pet
The more
you understand about your pet the earlier you will be able to notice
small problems before they become serious and /or painful to your
pet. Pets age more quickly than humans, and sometimes a pet
is ill without signs or symptoms. This makes it absolutely vital to continue
an ongoing preventive program between you and your
veterinarian at George Veterinary Clinic.
